Please Allow Me to Introduce Myself

So why the Bruins and the Sharks huh? weird, right?? Well I'm Mark and I was raised in New England so naturally I am a born die-hard Boston Bruins fan and absolute hockey fanatic. I eat up anything NHL or hockey related, I can remember as far back as the 1983-84 season so I like to think I have a pretty solid grasp of the game. In 2010 I found myself relocated to the Bay area of California where I met my wife who opened my eyes to the San Jose Sharks (Joe Thornton playing for them didn't hurt either). So now I find myself rooting for an Eastern and a Western Conference team. I know a lot of people might cringe at the idea of the Sharks but as the Boston sports fan that I was growing up in the 1980's, there's so much about the Sharks that reminds me of all those lovable loser Red Sox teams I grew up rooting for. Mark my words: it will happen someday. This is aimed to be nothing more than a passion project and more or less my own personal journal of the NHL season through my eyes. If you're looking for team and or player bashing you've come to the wrong place, I look to be objective, thought-provoking and honest. I can promise you though, I am not your run-of-the-mill, self-loathing, subterranean Bruins fan. I hope to interact with a few readers at some points and maybe eventually turn this into something more. So please let me know what you think good, bad, indifferent and look forward to my upcoming off-offsason recaps for each team.
